Reel Thanx welcomes candidates from all branches of the military (active duty, current National Guard or Reserves
with prior active duty service, honorably discharged) to apply for our program.

1.    Reel Thanx applicants shall have served honorably in a branch of the United States Armed Forces.

2.    Reel Thanx applicants shall have received a wound, injury, or illness as a direct result of service in a combat zone.

3.    Reel Thanx applicants shall have service records that are free of disciplinary problems and infractions.

4.    Active-duty Reel Thanx applicants shall receive approval from their chain of command prior to receiving services from Reel Thanx. Inactive or retired applicants shall provide a copy of their DD214 (see note below)

Applicants with prior active duty service (current National Guard or Reserves, retired/honorably discharged) are required to submit a copy of their DD214 for any period of active duty service during which the applicant was deployed to an active combat zone (multiple DD214s if necessary).  The Member 4 copy of the DD214 is preferred. Any DD214 Continuation Sheets
should be included as well. 

Completed applications are submitted directly from our website. Please be sure to have all your documents and information available before you begin filling out the  application. The application can not be saved and must be completed in one sitting. You will be able to upload/attach documents to the application. Once submitted, the application will be vetted  by our Board of Directors. This process can take up to a month or more, depending whether or not additional information is necessary after initial review. 

We take four quarterly fishing trips per year to Lake Amistad, Del Rio, Texas. We typically take six participants per trip. We will work with our participants to find a trip date which best accommodates their schedules. If you have any questions regarding our trips,
